Producer's Corner
Nikolas Kozel

Welcome to our production of "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum!" This show is a throwback to Vaudville, when comedy and music went hand in hand. This period piece creates an epic tale of a slave striving for freedom, a warrior hunting for his prey, and two young lovers with obstacles in their path. Of course, these are not always portrayed seriously. Just remember, "tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight!"

Under that auspice of Tom Reing, this show kicks off a comedy-filled main stage season. The first of two productions Tom will be directing this season, he has pushed our actors ability to "crack a joke" and have the audience "busting at the seams."

Director's Notes
Tom Reing

What do you say about a play that professes to just be fun and laughs? I hope you as an audience enjoy it. I'm often fond of saying "I hope it's so funny, there's not a dry seat in the house." (pause while you put that together) While that might be an overexaggeration, these talented artists make me laugh and more importantly proud.
