Music Theatre '63

YOUTH, said Bernard Shaw - with all the wit and inaccuracy for which he is sometimes noted - is too precious a thing to be wasted on the young. We of MUSIC THEATRE '63 couldn't agree less.

Ours is a young theatre, in every pleasant sense of the word. Last season was our first, and the MUSIC THEATRE '62 productions of CAROUSEL and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN played to near-capacity houses. Too, the accent in the company is on youth: on talented, aspiring players and technicians-most of them from East Coast colleges and universities augmented in key positions by seasoned professionals.

We aren't apologizing, mind you. We think that youth is our strongest asset as we plunge happily into two of America's brightest musicals, FINIAN'S RAINBOW and FIORELLO! We are delighted to announce, also, an exciting recent addition to our summer schedule. See the insert (see the ushers! SEE THE BOX-OFFICE at intermission!) for news about off-Broadway's longest-running musical, THE FANTASTICKS, which we have just secured rights to do for one week only, opening August 27th.
