Music Theatre '63

YOUTH, said Bernard Shaw - with all the wit and inaccuracy for which he is sometimes noted - is too precious a thing to be wasted on the young. We of MUSIC THEATRE '63 couldn't agree less.

Ours is a young theatre, in every pleasant sense of the word. Last season was our first, and the MUSIC THEATRE '62 productions of CAROUSEL and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN played to near capacity houses. Our first production this year, Fl N IAN'S RAINBOW played to full houses for a full month. As in last year's company, the accent in this year's company is on youth; on talented aspiring players and technicians - most of them from East Coast colleges and universities - augmented in key positions by seasoned professionals.

We aren't apologizing, mind you. We think that youth is our strongest asset. With this thought in mind, we plunged happily into two more of America's brightest musicals, FIORELLO! and THE FANTASTICKS. FIORELLO! brought plaudits from all quarters during our presentation throughout August. We are delighted to bring THE FANTASTICKS to you as the windup of the '63 season, and promise a great array of entertainment next year.
