Description

This stoneware tile was created by Alexander P. Irvine while he was a BFA candidate at the University of the Arts. Carved in high relief, it features an image of Vietnam veteran Rusty Sachs, as pictured in John Kerry’s The New Soldier, throwing his medal back at the U.S. capitol during Operation Dewey Canyon III in 1971 (showing back of tile).
