Description
Few, if any, Quaker families other than the Wisters had six brothers serving as Civil War soldiers. The births of those brothers are here recorded in the Wister family Bible, in use at “Belfield” in the nineteenth century. Note that Langhorne Wister had two other entries with two other names before his parents settled on “Langhorne” for his name.
