La Salle College Presents Music Theatre '65

Just typing the words MUSIC THEATRE '65 brings a particular kind of excitement: it represents seven plays, in the past three summers, all of them apparently finding acceptance; more than that, it is testimony to the continuing existence of a dream that began as MUSIC THEATRE '62. In this case, numbers count. They are numbers of people: the fine young people in our companies; the 50,000 people who have been our audiences. MUSIC THEATRE looks forward with special joy to this "Lyrical Summer of Lerner and Loewe." CAMELOT is a play which has become greatly beloved because of its melodic and haunting score, which promises to be evergreen. And perhaps, also, because of a poignant connection with John Kennedy. BRIGADOON is a hardy perennial which we have been promising ourselves for several years that we'd do; it was high on your list of requests last summer, and our spirited young company will please your ears with it. What's all this about a long, hot summer? It looks like a happy, cool season - up our way!
