Abstract

John Baky was born in 1947 in Trenton, New Jersey. He attended grade school in Trenton. He attended high school in Flemington, New Jersey at Central High School. He would do his undergraduate work at Gettysburg College. He received a degree in Library Science from Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Wesleyan University. He did Doctoral work at Bryn Mawr College. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He served in Vietnam from 1970-1971. He worked at Yale University editing 18th century British Newspapers for the library. In 1980 he came to La Salle University to work for acquisitions. At the time of the interview he was the Director of Library Services and Curator of Special Collections at La Salle University.
