Description

Whereas previous presidents moved into their role as university president without much fanfare, Brother Daniel Burke’s nomination to the position was celebrated with the first inauguration ceremony in La Salle’s history. The event came with all the trappings of what we associate with modern inaugurations: a formal inauguration ceremony, speeches, attendance of representatives from other institutions, and a celebration dinner and reception.

Burke’s inauguration took place at the fall academic convocation. This planning documentation from the event lays out in detail the order of procession, seating arrangements, and the order of speakers.
