Before the mid-1960s, the majority of Brothers would learn of their assignments for the approaching school year by reading the large bulletin board on the last day of the annual spiritual retreat each August. Although some of the incoming presidents and principals (“Directors”) likely had been informed earlier and more individually that same summer, others may have found out their leadership posts in the same way that the teaching Brothers did. Here is one of the official posted lists.
