The Advocacy Committee is asked to tap into existing student groups and organizations already at La Salle, in addition to working with University Ministry and Services, to raise awareness of the NHNP and to broaden student and faculty participation on campus. The first major task of this committee is to help organize La Salle University participation in the Easter Food Drive, expanding this annual initiative from five to fifteen local churches. The Easter Food Drive will be rolled out on Martin Luther King Day (1/21/2013), with each of the organizations involved falling under the NHNP umbrella.
