Brief Biography

Anthony Moffa has been on the spectrum his whole life but was officially diagnosed at the age of 47. He enjoys sharing the story of his journey to diagnosis, a journey from ignorance to clarity. He is passionate about sharing his experiences with parents, experts, and others on the spectrum. Anthony is a graduate of La Salle University, class of 1989, and Florida Institute of Technology, class of 1994. He currently works in the IT field.

Lori and Anthony have been married since 1997. Lori and Anthony share their relationship challenges experienced prior to Anthony’s diagnosis and how they continue to grow as a couple today. They discuss the mechanics of interactions, sharing a family life, and parenting when one partner is on the spectrum. Lori currently serves as the Director of Consulting at The Non Profit Center at La Salle University.

Description

This workshop presents the journey Anthony and Lori took together to get Anthony diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Topics include the sequence of realizations they made along the way and how these realizations pointed to one conclusion: that Anthony was on the spectrum, confirmed by a diagnosis.
